How to Plan an Elopement

Step 1: Choose The Season
In New Zealand, every season has its unique attraction and beauty.
If you are planning for your Elopement Wedding in New Zealand’s Summer Peak Holiday Season (November~January), there are many spots around the South Island where Wild Lupines will be in full bloom.
Autumn (April~late May) will bring beautiful red and yellow, earthy tones to Arrowtown. We recommend avoiding Winter in the South Island as it can get freezing cold, but if you are looking for photos on a snowy mountain you can always go to Mt Cook in Spring or Summer - there’s glacial ice all year round.
Spring starts from September and goes through to early November, bringing a host of cherry blossoms in Queenstown, Arrowtown, Auckland, Hamilton and Palmerston North.
Step 2: Choose Your Location Or Venue.
Your choice of Location or Venue will play a significant role in the way your Wedding Photos will look, more than your choice of photographer. You will be spoilt for choice in New Zealand, with a huge range of urban or natural locations to get hitched at - the best thing about NZ is just how easy and cheap it can be to obtain permits!
