What exactly does “Destination Wedding” mean?
“Destination Weddings” is is the term used for a wedding that takes place at a desired venue that is away from the home town of the bride and groom. The wedding ceremony and reception is conducted in a place where everybody (including all guests) has to travel to get to the wedding.
Choosing a destination for your wedding is perhaps the most important decision you would have to make to prepare your wedding. After all, your wedding location will determine a lot of your wedding factors including the cost. For example, many people now want to get married in a more exotic venue, and if you have to fly to the other side of the world to get to your dream wedding destination, it can be very costly.
Destination Weddings are certainly growing in popularity. Although there are still a lot of couples going down the conventional path of getting married in a church, followed by a reception in a banquet hall, there's no denying that Destination Weddings are a new and coming phenomenon for couples looking to tie the knot.

Can you afford to pay for the travel of your guests?
Would you want to have a second reception back home for friends and family who couldn't fly with you?
Is your privacy important?
You will be surrounded by your guests for the duration of your wedding or honeymoon. Mind that you are asking the guests to fly with you. Most possibly, the guests will pay their own way and schedule their entire holiday around your wedding. And you're going to have to devote a lot of thought about what both you and your guests want to do before and after the wedding.
Destination weddings are becoming very popular and, as a result, there are many travel agents that are now specialising in these types of weddings. Take a determination as to how large you want your travelling party to be, and whether your guests can handle it. When you want a few days of privacy, make sure you have some sort of agreement with your guests.
